Most Antarctica cruises depart from Ushuaia. Typically you need a couple of nights in Buenos Aires and Ushuaia. Why not spend more time there beforehand, particularly in Buenos Aires? Punta Arenas is the departure or return point for a couple of cruises. So you'll normally need a couple of nights in Santiago and Punta Arenas. Extend your time there, and particularly bear in mind that the amazing Torres del Paine area is only a couple of hours away.
