These are some recommendations for the cruise part of your journey. Remember to pack also clothing suitable for the places in South America you may visit before or after the cruise, as the climate there differs highly to the climate in Antarctica. Also make sure to check your baggage allowing for flights.

Clothing:
The temperatures on the Antarctic Peninsula are around 0°C but may feel very cold when it is windy and wet. For the landings, thermal clothes are recommended whereby it is best to dress in several layers.

- Casual clothing for the ship, comfortable shoes for on board
- Water/ windproof jacket
- Warm/ waterproof trousers
- Waterproof gloves or mittens, thin gloves to wear under mittens
- Warm cap
- Thermal or woolen socks, thin socks for underneath
- Thermal, long underwear
- Sweaters, polar fleece or wool recommended
- Rubber boots (can sometimes be lend from the operator, ask in advance)
- Swim suit

What else to bring:
- Good quality sunglasses with UV protection
- Binoculars
- Sun blocker 30+ and lip balm
- Camera, enough films or memory cards, spare batteries as cold temperatures can reduce the battery life span
- Light daypack for shore excursions
- Personal medications
